Blood sugar regulation is very important in general for optimal health but also, especially when trying to optimize fertility and for avoiding some unwanted symptoms in pregnancy. High blood sugar can contribute to inflammation which makes getting pregnant trickier. Having high blood sugar for prolonged periods of time can contribute lead to insulin resistance and type 2 Diabetes, in pregnancy it can lead to Gestational Diabetes. Other common symptoms associated with high blood pressure include: headaches, fatigue, excessive thirst, and constipation.
